The petitioner seeks the concession of pre-arrest bail in a case registered at the instance of Harvinder Singh alleging that on 6.5.2016 the petitioner along with 5/6 persons had attacked him with kirpans. When the friend of complainant Dalbir Singh intervened to rescue him, he was also attacked.

So far as the petitioner is concerned, he in the capacity as a member of an unlawful assembly, is alleged to have given kick blows to Dalbir Singh.

On the instructions of ASI Rattan Lal, it has been informed that the petitioner has joined the investigation. In view of the fact the petitioner has not been attributed any grievous injury and he has joined the investigation, he can be granted the concession of pre-arrest bail. The petition is allowed and it is ordered that in case of arrest of the petitioner, he will be released on bail to the satisfaction of the arresting officer subject to the condition that the petitioner will join the investigation as and when required by the police and will not tamper with evidence or hamper the investigation.
