Mr. Jai Bhagwan, Advocate, for the petitioner. **** RITU BAHRI, J. (Oral) Learned counsel submits that on account of matrimonial dispute, a complaint (Annexure P-1) has been made to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur (respondent No.2) by the petitioner against her in-laws as well as her husband. Her marriage was solemnized with respondent No.5 in the year 2014 and she has been turned out from her matrimonial house in January, 2016 on account of demand of dowry. The panchayat was convened by father of the petitioner to settle her in matrimonial house but the private respondents started to harass her again and demanded `5 lacs in the shape of dowry. Till date no action has been taken against them by the official respondents.

In view of above, without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of police, Sangrur (respondent No.2), to look into the complaint/representation (Annexure P-1), filed by the petitioner, in accordance with law and shall also make an attempt for mediation between two families at Sangrur.
