-.- JAISHREE THAKUR J. (ORAL) This is a petition that has been filed for grant of regular bail to the petitioners in case FIR No.20 dated 17.03.2021 registered under Section 61 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 at Police Station Sherpur, District Sangrur.

Learned counsel for the petitioners herein would contend that the petitioners are in custody for more than 60 days and the investigation in this matter is complete.

Whereas learned counsel appearing for the respondent-State opposes grant of regular bail to the petitioners by contending that the forensic report has not been received as yet and thereafter, it cannot be said that the investigation is complete.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties. Be that as it may, this Court deems it appropriate to allow regular bail to the petitioners considering the fact that they have been in custody for more than 60 days in a matter that is to be tried by a Magistrate.
