Mr. Angraze Singh Dhindsa, Advocate, for the petitioners. **** RITU BAHRI, J. (Oral) Petitioners are seeking directions for protection of their lives and liberty at the hands of private respondent Nos.4 to 11. In this regard, a representation dated 29.07.2016 (Annexure P-1) has been made by the petitioners to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur (respondent No.2). Petitioner No.1 was married to respondent No.10 and she was minor at that time. She was deserted by her husband on the suspicion that she was having illicit relation with another person. After throwing her out from matrimonial home, she went back to her parental home. Thereafter, her parents started pressurizing her to remarry to an elderly person but she refused. She has left her parental home and now is residing with petitioner No.2.

In view of above, without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of police, Sangrur (respondent No.2), to look into the representation (Annexure P-1), filed by the petitioners, in accordance with law.
