(Oral) The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to grant 23 years promotional increment benefit as per Finance Circular No.17/90 dated 23.04.1990 (Annexure P-1), Finance Circular dated 09.11.1999 (Annexure P-2) and Finance Circular No.392 dated 28.07.2000 (Annexure P-3). Further direction be issued to respondents to refix the pension/pay of the petitioner after grant of 23 years promotional increment. After arguing the case for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to avail other legal remedies, in accordance with law.
