(ORAL) The petitioner herein seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing of letter/order dated 03.06.2020 (Annexure P-9), whereby respondent No.4 i.e. Superintendent of Police, Rohtak, has come to a conclusion that both petitioner (widow) and respondent No.5 (daughter) are equally entitled for retiral benefits of deceased DSP late Narender Singh. In the circumstances, the petitioner also caused issuance of a legal notice dated 04.05.2020 (Annexure P-6), but the same has not been adverted to till date by the respondents. Hence! this petition.

Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by the respondents as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to objectively consider the legal notice dated 04.05.2020 (Annexure P-6) and also by keeping in view the contentions stated in the present writ petition by treating it as a supplementary representation and pass a speaking order, in accordance with law. 6.

Let the needful be done within a period of three months from today.
