(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents to protect her life and liberty as she apprehends threat to the same at the hands of private respondents. During the course of arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submitted that there is some dispute over land between the petitioner and respondent No.4, who are both real sisters while respondent Nos.5, 6 and 7 are cultivating the share of respondent No.4. It has also been informed that a civil suit is already pending in respect of the land in question. Notice of motion.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, and without commenting anything as regards the merits of the assertions made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, Fatehabad, District Fatehabad, to get the representation dated 16.3.2023 (Annexure P-3) examined qua the limited extent of the alleged threat perception of the petitioner. In case, it is found that there is genuine threat to life and liberty of the petitioner, then necessary steps warranted under law be taken thereupon.
