This petition has been preferred by the petitioner, under Section 528 BNSS, 2023, seeking a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider his representations dated 27.02.2025 (Annexure P-2) and 10.03.2025 (Annexure P-6) sent to respondent Nos. 4 and 3 respectively and to register a case against the accused persons therein as per mandate of law laid down by the Constitution Bench of Hon'ble Supreme Court in "Lalita Kumari Vs. Govt. of U.P. and others (2014) SCC 1." 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner has preferred a complaint dated 27.02.2025 (Annexure P-2) to respondent No.4Station House Officer, Police Station Cantonment, Amritsar and representation dated 10.03.2025 (Annexure P-6) to respondent No.3-Commissioner of Police, Amritsar but no action has been taken so far. Learned counsel submits that he would be satisfied if directions are issued to respondent Nos 3 and 4 i.e. Renu Rawat 2025.03.27 22:03 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited prayer made by the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-Commissioner of Police, Amritsar and respondent No.4- Station House Officer, Police Station Cantonment, Amritsar to consider and decide the representation/complaint dated 27.02.2025 (Annexure P-2) and 10.03.2025 (Annexure P-6) of the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
