Having heard learned counsel for the petitioners and without expressing anything on merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala to look into the matter and to dispose of representations (Annexures P-1 & P-2) expeditiously in accordance with law and to take appropriate action as may be warranted under facts and circumstances of the case. 2.

Since learned counsel for the petitioners has expressed that there could be some chances of an amicable settlement, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala shall also explore the possibility of compromise to resolve the matter amongst the parties as the parties are inter se related to each other.
