**** ANUPINDER SINGH GREWAL, J (ORAL) The petitioner is seeking regular bail in FIR No. 83, dated 21.04.2017, under Sections 22, 61, 85 of the NDPS Act, registered at Police Station Meharban, District Ludhiana.
The allegations against the petitioner are that 500 grams of heroin was recovered from the car in which the petitioner along with his co-accused were travelling.
Learned State counsel upon instructions from ASI Gurinder Singh states that 05 out of 16 prosecution witnesses have been examined and the matter has now been listed on 16.10.2019 for examination of the remaining witnesses. He also states that every effort shall be made to produce the remaining witnesses on the next date itself and expedite the trial.
