This is a petition under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners in FIR No.10 dated 07.02.2023, registered under Sections 498-A and 406 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (IPC) at Police Station City Ahmedgarh, District Sangrur (now District Malerkotla, Punjab).

On 06.04.2023 the following order was passed : "While praying for grant of anticipatory bail in FIR No.10 dated 07.02.2023, registered under Section 498-A/406 IPC, at Police Station City Ahmedgarh, District Sangrur, the petitioner claims false implication.

CRM-M-16966-2023 -2The petitioners are father-in-law, mother-in-law and unmarried sister-in-law of the first informant. The FIR is a result of marital discord between the first informant and her husband.

Sh. J.S. Jaidka, Advocate, enters appearance on behalf of the first informant and submits that the marriage between the first informant and her husband Vishal has irretrievably broken down. Notice of motion.

Mr. Vipin Pal Yadav, Addl. A.G., Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the State.

In the meantime, in the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on interim bail subject to furnishing personal bonds and surety to the satisfaction of the Arresting/Investigating Officer.

However, the petitioner shall join the investigation as and when called upon to do so and shall abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.

Learned counsel for the petitioners would contend that pursuant to the said order, the petitioners have joined investigation and have fully cooperated. Learned counsel has further pointed out that vide order dated 03.07.2023 the parties were directed to appear before the Mediation and

CRM-M-16966-2023 -3Conciliation Centre of this Court and that the parties have since compromised the matter. Report of the Mediator along with compromise dated 07.07.2023 has been annexed with the present petition. 4.

Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Ravi Dutt, has stated that the petitioners have since joined investigation and have fully cooperated and that they are no longer required for further custodial interrogation as of now.

In view of the above, the order dated 06.04.2023 is made absolute. The petitioners shall, however, join investigation as and when called. The petitioners shall also abide by all the terms and conditions as specified under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. 6.

Disposed off accordingly. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
