Augustine George Masih, J. (Oral) Counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the present petition with liberty to first approach the competent authority for the redressal of his grievance as has been highlighted in the present writ petition. This, he states in the light of the fact that the counsel for the State, on instructions of Mr. Harpreet Singh, Deputy Superintendent Jail, Faridkot, has informed the Court that the petitioner has not even approached the competent authority for redressal of the said grievance. In the light of the above the present writ petition is disposed of with liberty as prayed for.
