(Oral) This is the second petition filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C., for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner, in case FIR No. 66, dated 14.04.2021, registered under Sections 380 IPC (later on added Section 411 IPC), lodged at Police Station City Tarn Taran, District Tarn Taran.

Learned State counsel on instructions has apprised the Court that the petitioner is the main accused, since he had the keys of the Godown, from where the theft of wheat took place. Learned State counsel has further submitted that the petitioner had been committing the crime in question in connivance with certain other unknown persons, hence, his custodial interrogation would become imperative. Therefore, keeping in view the criminal antecedents of the petitioner, no ground for grant of anticipatory bail is made out. Petition stands dismissed.
