***** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) This petition has been filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. seeking regular bail to the petitioner in a case FIR No.655 dated 19.06.2017 under Sections 384, 389 and 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station City Karnal, District Karnal.

Petitioner is stated to be in custody since 12.11.2017. Prosecution has examined two witnesses so far. Case is triable by Magistrate.

Keeping in view aforesaid contentions, period of her incarceration and the fact that trial may take some time to conclude, no useful purpose would be served by detaining the petitioner any longer. Thus without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is allowed. Petitioner is directed to be released on bail by the trial court subject to such conditions as it may deem fit to impose. Pursuant to order dated March 07, 2018, comments of presiding officer have been received. Same shall be dealt with on the administrative side.
