(ORAL) Grievance raised in this petition is that in the part of land adjoining the agricultural field of the petitioner, illegal mining is being undertaken by the private respondents. Since the grievance raised has not been addressed, the petitioner is before this Court. Various photographs of the alleged illegal mining have been annexed along with this petition. 2.

The learned Additional Advocate General for State of Punjab, on instructions, submits that a notice(s) in Form-R, referable to Rule 85(5) of the Rules, have been issued to the private respondents with regard to alleged illegal mining undertaken by them. Learned State counsel further states that notice issued on 18.02.2026 would be taken to its logical end and appropriate orders would be passed in the matter. From the stand taken by the respondents before this Court, it transpires that the competent authority has already taken cognizance of the petitioner's grievance and issued appropriate notices. 4.

In such circumstances, there is no occasion for us to proceed with the matter at this stage. Writ petition, consequently, is disposed of with a direction issue upon private respondents to ensure that the grievance raised by the petitioner is appropriately examined after notice to third respondent and needful action, as may be warranted in law, is taken within a period of two months.
