RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. has been made for grant of regular bail to petitioner Ravi Kaushik in a case arising from FIR No.97 dated 30.01.2018 registered under Sections 408, 420 and 120-B IPC at Police Station Model Town, Panipat, District Panipat. According to the prosecution, petitioner as a field officer of the complainant finance company, usurped or mis-appropriated more than Rs.11.00 lakh out of total mis-appropriate amount of Rs.4,67,61,691/- Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that petitioner is in custody since 26.02.2018. Charge-sheet has already been framed. No recovery has to be effected from the petitioner. The conclusion of trial may take a sufficient long time. No useful purpose would be served by keeping the petitioner behind bars.
Learned State counsel has vehemently opposed the bail application.
