RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Custody certificate filed in Court today is taken on record. Prayer in the instant petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. has been made for grant of regular bail to petitioner Sinder Kaur in a case arising from FIR No.52 dated 17.03.2016 registered under Sections 307/34 IPC (Section 302 IPC added later on) at Police Station Sadar Dhuri, District Sangrur.

According to the prosecution, petitioner burnt her sister-in-law Paramjit Kaur on account of some land dispute. According to the medical report Paramjit Kaur received 85% burn injuries and lateron died. She in her dying declaration has specifically named the petitioner as main accused. Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that coaccused of the petitioner has been granted anticipatory bail. Petitioner is in custody since 26.12.2017. Conclusion of trial may take a sufficient long time. No useful purpose would be served by keeping the petitioner behind Ravinder Singh 2018.07.30 14:41 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document bars.

On the other hand, learned State counsel vehemently opposed the

Having considered the submissions of both the sides and gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
