(Oral) The petitioner is seeking regular bail in FIR No.157 dated 11.06.2017 under Sections 307, 323, 34 IPC and Sections 25/27 of the Arms Act registered at Police Station Kalanwali, District Sirsa. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the injury which has been attributed to the petitioner is on the non-vital part of the body of the injured and simple in nature. He also contends that the petitioner is in custody for over two years and nine months and the trial has not commenced. Learned State counsel, upon instructions from SI Bhoop Singh, states that charges were framed on 18.09.2019 and the petitioner is involved in 18 other cases.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, however, contends that the petitioner has either been acquitted or is on bail in all other cases. Learned counsel for the complainant contends that Kuldip Singh whose name is mentioned in the instant FIR as having taken the

CRM-M-19334-2021 -2- ---------------- injured/complainant to the hospital, was murdered subsequently and FIR No.195 dated 21.08.2017 at Police Station Ramamandi, Bathinda was lodged wherein the petitioner is an accused.

Heard through video conferencing.

The petitioner is alleged to have caused a gun shot injury on the left elbow of the complainant. He is also involved in several other cases including FIR No.195 dated 21.08.2017 wherein an alleged witness in the instant FIR had been shot. Therefore, I do not deem it appropriate to grant him the concession of regular bail and the petition stands dismissed. However, the trial Court is directed to conclude the trial expeditiously.
