Clearance Certificate in respect of the petitioner has already been prepared and the same shall be forwarded to the passport authorities within a period of three weeks from today.

At this stage, learned counsel for respondents No.1 and 2 submits that upon receipt of the Police Clearance Certificate pertaining to the petitioner, an appropriate decision on the petitioner's pending application for issuance of passport shall be taken by the competent passport authority, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the said certificate from the police authorities. 5.

Keeping in view the aforesaid submissions made by learned counsel for the respective respondents, no further orders are required to be passed in the present writ petition and the same is, accordingly, disposed of. 6.
