v.
State of Punjab

....
Coram:
Hon'ble Mr. Justice Inderjit Singh .....
Present:
Mr. N.S. Bhinder, Advocate for the petitioner. .....
Inderjit Singh, J.
The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail in case FIR No.55 dated 15.8.2014 registered for the offences under Sections 364 and 120-B IPC at Police Station Phul, District Bathinda.
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.
The present petitioner is named in the FIR. As per prosecution version, Gurtej Singh-younger son of the complainant has been missing since 25.5.2014. Till now he could not be located. The present petitioner Inderpal Singh is nominated in the present case and challan has already been presented against Gurjit Kaur as well as Inderpal Singh and they have already been charge-sheeted. Cr. Misc. No.M-2993 of 2015 [2] Keeping in view the nature and gravity of the offences and in view of the fact that the evidence has not been recorded so far and there is every chance of tampering with the evidence if the petitioner is released on bail, I do not find any ground to grant regular bail to the petitioner. Therefore, finding no merit in this criminal miscellaneous petition, the same is dismissed.
