 CM No. 843-LPA-2022 For the reasons mentioned in the application, delay of 262 days in filing the appeal is condoned. Application stands allowed. LPA No. 331 of 2022 The appellant-State of Punjab has filed this appeal against the impugned judgment dated 30.05.2019 and the order dated 24.01.2020 passed by the learned Single Judge whereby the petition filed by the respondent was allowed and the application for modification of the order was dismissed. 2.

While issuing notice of motion on 27.04.2022, learned State counsel appearing for the appellant-State of Punjab had informed the Court that they are ready to comply with the impugned judgment passed by the learned Single Judge by granting the said benefit to the respondent from 01.01.1996.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent submits that he has no objection if the order dated 30.05.2019 is modified to the extent that respondent be granted the benefit of first placement in the higher scale w.e.f. from 01.01.1996 instead of 01.01.1995. 4.

In view of the above statements made by learned counsel for both the parties, the appeal stands disposed of with a modification in the order dated 30.05.2019 passed by the learned Single Judge to the extent that the respondent be granted the benefit of first placement in the higher scale w.e.f. 01.01.1996 instead of 01.01.1995.
