The present contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 05.09.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-26340-2025, which was disposed of in terms of order dated 24.04.2024 passed by this Court in CWP-9301-2024 titled as 'Harikkatar Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others'. 2.

Notice of motion.

On asking of the Court, Mr. Animesh Sharma, Addl. Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and contends that in compliance of order dated 05.09.2025, a speaking order dated 09.03.2026 has been passed by the Assistant Inspector General of Police (Personnel-I), O/o Director General of Police, Punjab. He has produced a copy of the said speaking order dated 09.03.2026 in the Court. The same is VIRENDRA SINGH ADHIKARI 2026.03.24 19:33 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

In view of the above, since order dated 05.09.2025 passed by this Court in CWP-26340-2025, has been complied with, therefore, the present contempt is purged and rule stands discharged. 5.

Needless to say that the petitioner is at liberty to avail remedy as is available to him in accordance with law to challenge the said speaking order dated 09.03.2026.
