Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have married each other against the wishes of the parents of petitioner No. 1 and on account of this act on their part, they are under threat of being eliminated at the hands of respondents No.3 to 5. In view of the above, seeking protection, a representation dated 27.01.2017 (Annexure P-5) was made on behalf of the petitioners to the Superintendent of Police, Ambala, District Ambala but to no avail.

In the above circumstances, the petitioners have approached this Court through the present petition.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, particularly the validity of the alleged marriage, the Superintendent of Police, Ambala, District Ambala (respondent No. 2) is directed to forthwith Monika 2017.01.31 15:23 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
