HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the present petition, filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a direction to the respondents to produce the petitioner in custody before the Returning Officer/Competent Authority on 17.03.2026, to enable her to cast her vote in the election of Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Panchayat Samiti Dera Baba Nanak. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the order passed by this Court in CWP-7832-2026 titled as `Taranjit Singh and others vs State of Punjab and others, decided on 13.03.2026 where the benefit has already been given as claimed in the present petition, the present petition may kindly be disposed of having been not pressed. 3.
