Prayer in the present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for quashing for FIR No.1 dated 03.01.02023, under Section 379-B & 34 IPC registered at Police Station Phase-8, District SAS Nagar, Mohali, on the basis of compromise dated 02.04.2024.

Although report dated 08.05.2024 has been received from the Court below, in which it is informed that parties have settled their dispute and their statements have been recorded before learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, SAS Nagar, in pursuance to the compromise, but looking at the allegation of snatching of car from the victim, this Court is required to consider the sustainability of said compromise as per law. 3.

However as informed by learned State counsel that cancellation has been submitted, I do not find any substantial reason to adjudicate the issue here and thus, it requires disposal. Since, nobody has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioners, the present petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.
