The petitioners seek quashing of FIR No.276 dated 6.4.2017, under Sections 323 read with Section 34, 354, 406, 498-A of Indian Penal Code registered at Police Station Model Town, District Panipat, on the basis of settlement/compromise having been effected amongst the parties. Vide order dated 25.4.2018, the parties were directed to appear before the Illaqa Magistrate/trial Court for getting their statements recorded as regards the genuineness of the compromise. Report of the trial Court had been received wherein it is stated that the statement of complainant Monika had been recorded. Monika categorically stated that compromise has been effected with the accused out of her free will and volition and without any pressure. The learned Trial Court, in its report, has opined that the compromise arrived at between the Kamal Kumar 2018.07.09 11:01 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

In view of the aforesaid position, this Court is satisfied that the matter has been resolved amicably.
