The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in cross case DDR No.20 dated 2.4.2018 registered for the offences under Sections 307, 323, 148 and 149 IPC and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act, 1959 in FIR No.38 dated 1.4.2018 registered under Sections 307, 323, 148 and 149 IPC at Police Station Ajnala, District Amritsar (Rural).
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.
The present petitioner is named in the DDR/cross-version. He is stated to be armed with .12 bore rifle and fired a shot which hit in upper portion of the thigh of complainant Sahil Arora. As per the DDR, the present petitioner has also fired two more shots but these did not hit. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present HARPAL SINGH PARMAR 2019.04.08 10:32 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh
Cr. Misc. No.M-15647 of 2019 [2] case; serious allegations against the petitioner and the fact that he is required for custodial interrogation, I do not find it a fit case where the petitioner is entitled for the grant of anticipatory bail. Therefore, finding no merit in this petition, the same is dismissed.
