CRM-M-15940-2025 (O&M) record. He confirms the factum of the compromise having been effected between the parties and states that he has no objection to the quashing of FIR in question.

5.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material placed on record.

6.

In view of the matter, even if this case is taken to its logical conclusion, it would only be an exercise in futility as the parties have already settled their differences. Therefore, no purpose would be served in wasting the time and resources of the State in pursuing this case to its preordained end. It would, therefore, be better to give a quietus to the issue at this stage.

7.

Accordingly, the petition is allowed and FIR No. 125 dated 28.08.2019 under Sections 420, 120-B IPC registered at Police Station City Bhikhi, District Mansa alongwith all consequential proceedings arising therefrom are quashed qua the petitioner subject to payment of costs of Rs.5,000/-, to be paid to the High Court Legal Services Committee. 8.

Needless to say that the parties shall remain bound by the terms of compromise.
