NARESH KUMAR SANGHI, J (Oral) Learned Additional Advocate General, Punjab, on instructions from SI Harvinder Singh of CIA Staff, Nabha, submits that at present the petitioner is nominated as an accused in FIR PRASHANT KAPOOR 2015.10.16 12:16 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
CRM-M-30109-2015 (O&M) No. 241, dated 17.12.2013, for the offences punishable under Sections 21, 22, 25 and 25-A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, registered at Police Station, Sadar, Patiala. She further submits that the petitioner has been declared as a proclaimed offender in the said case. Learned counsel for the respondent No.4 - Joint Director, Enforcement Directorate, Jalandhar Zonal Office, Punjab, submits that since the Punjab Police has registered a case against the petitioner, therefore, Enforcement Directorate has also initiated an inquiry and, prima facie, the inquiry shows involvement of the petitioner.
In view of above, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press this petition at this stage.
Ordered accordingly.
