This petition has been preferred under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing Cross Version registered vide Rapat No.17 dated March 4, 2014, under Sections 452, 324, 323, 148, 149 IPC in FIR No.18 dated March 3, 2014 under Sections 324, 323, 148, 149 IPC, Police Station, Shri Hargobindpur, Police District Batala, District Gurdaspur alongwith subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise. In compliance of order dated September 7, 2015, report of Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Batala, has been received to the effect that compromise between parties has been arrived at voluntary and without undue influence, pressure or coercion. Even otherwise, matter involved is personal in nature which has been amicable put at rest. 3.

In view of the above, this Court of the considered opinion that continuation of criminal proceedings between the parties would be an abuse of process of law and present compromise is for their benefit and will bring peace and harmony between them. 4.

Consequently, instant petition stands allowed and Cross Version registered vide Rapat No.17 dated March 4, 2014, under Sections 452, 324, 323, 148, 149 IPC in FIR No.18 dated March 3, 2014 under Sections 324, 323, 148, 149 IPC, Police Station, Shri Hargobindpur, Police District Batala, District Gurdaspur alongwith subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, is quashed qua the petitioner.
