(ORAL) The present revision petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution with a prayer for expediting the proceedings in the Civil Suit No.7089 of 2019 titled as "Rajeev Kumar Vs. Patti L. Hartel", registered on 05.09.2019.

Learned counsel counsel for the petitioner would contend that in the present case the natural father i.e. plaintiff-petitioner has challenged the adoption deed dated 16.05.2016 vide which his minor daughter was adopted by the defendant-respondent. He would further contend that the matter is of utmost urgency inasmuch as the plaintiff-petitioner is seeking a declaration to the effect that the adoption deed dated 16.05.2016 is illegal, void and inoperative in the eyes of law.

CR-1599-2022 (O&M) -2In the present case, a perusal of the zimini orders which have been appended with the present petition as Annexure P-2, reveals that the first date the case was taken up was 05.09.2019 when the notice was issued to the defendant-respondent. Thereafter, on 10.10.2019, since the summons issued to the defendant-respondent were not received back, hence, service by publication was ordered. On 05.12.2019 appearance was caused on behalf of the defendant-respondent and the case was adjourned for filing the written statement. On 29.01.2020 also the case was adjourned to 16.03.2020. On 16.03.2020 the written statement was filed and the case was adjourned to 24.04.2020. From April 2020 the case was adjourned repeatedly due to the prevailing circumstances created in view of Covid-19 Pandemic and, thereafter, since 09.04.

2021, the matter is being taken up at short intervals by the Court below. There has been no delay on the part of the Court. In view of the above, I do not find any ground to interfere in the present revision petition which is accordingly dismissed. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off. Dismissed.
