Radha Kashyap And Another v. Ut Of Chandigarh And Others
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA
AT CHANDIGARH CRWP-2690-2025 Decided on : 19.03.2025 Radha Kashyap and another . . . Petitioner(s)
Versus
State of Chandigarh and others . . . Respondent(s)
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJAY VASHISTH PRESENT: Mr. Virender Kumar Dhiman, Advocate for the petitioner(s).
Mr. Sandeep Vashisht, APP, UT Chandigarh.
**** SANJAY VASHISTH, J. (Oral) 1.
Prayer in the instant petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of direction to the official respondents to provide protection of lives and liberty to the petitioners, who have married against the wishes of the private respondents. 2.
It is noticed that that originally both the petitioners are residents of State of Uttar Pradesh, and even the private respondents also belong to the District Etah (Uttar Pradesh).
3.
Even on advance notice, learned APP, UT Chandigarh, puts in appearance on behalf of the respondent - State of Chandigarh, and points out that the address mentioned in present petition i.e. House No.2245, Phase 2, Bapu Dham Colony, Sector 26, Chandigarh, is incorrect, because, on doing verification, petitioners were not found residing there. 4.
In view of the aforementioned circumstances, present petition seems to be completely misconceived, rather, same is not maintainable before this Court.
5.
Dismissed.
