In the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., prayer has been made for issuance of directions to respondents No. 1 and 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner, at the hands of respondents No. 4 and 5. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner at the very outset contends that the purpose of the instant petition would be achieved, if respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur, is directed to decide the representation dated 12.05.2017 (Annexure P-1) moved by the petitioner, before respondent No. 2-Inspector General of Police, Patiala Zone, Patiala, a copy of which has also been sent to respondent No. 3. 3.
In view of the above, respondent No. 3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur, is directed to look into the matter and decide the representation dated 12.05.2017 (Annexure P-1), moved by the petitioner, in accordance with law, by passing a speaking order and after affording an opportunity of hearing to him within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
