JITENDRA CHAUHAN, J. (Oral) The matter has been taken up through video-conferencing in the light of the pandemic COVID-19 situation and as per instructions. CRM-14044-2020 Allowed as prayed for.
CRM-M-16032-2020 The petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in case FIR No. 283 dated 20.05.2020, registered under Sections 22, 29 of Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 at Police Station City Barnala, District Barnala.
Heard.
On 23.06.2020, the following order was passed:- "This is a petition filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C.
-2for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No. 283, dated 20.5.2020, registered under Sections 22, 29 of NDPS Act, 1985 at Police Station City Barnala, District Barnala. As per allegations in the FIR, on receipt of a secret information, a car No. UP-16-AJ-7690 was intercepted and 3500 intoxicant tablets Clovidol 100 SR were recovered from Ranjit Singh and Manpreet Singh who were apprehended at spot.
Leaned counsel for petitioner states that name of petitioner has been surfaced in the disclosure statement of Harjinder Singh whose name was disclosed by Ranjit Singh and Manpreet Singh. He further states that no role has been attributed to petitioner in the said offence. The vehicle does not belong to him. There is no other case pending against petitioner.

In the meanwhile, petitioner is directed to join investigation. In the event of arrest of petitioner, he be released on interim bail to the satisfaction of Arresting Officer/Investigating Officer. He will abide by conditions of Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C."
Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Balwinder Singh submits that in pursuance of the order dated 23.06.2020 passed by this Court, the petitioner has joined the investigation and he is not required for custodial interrogation. Moreover, no recovery is to be effected from the petitioner.
In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the interim bail granted by this Court vide order dated
-323.06.2020, is made absolute, subject to furnishing bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate concerned.
The petition stands allowed.
