KARAMJIT SINGH , J. (Oral) Case has been heard through video conferencing on account of COVID-19 Pandemic.

The petitioner has challenged the final result (Annexure P-5) declared by the respondent for appointment to the post of Sub-Inspector female under Scheduled Caste category. The counsel for the petitioner further submitted that as per the impugned result the last selected candidate in the aforesaid test secured 51.40 marks.

As per the information received under RTI Act, the petitioner secured 44.08 marks and she was not given any marks under SocioEconomic criteria as well as for higher qualification she was having. The counsel further contended that if the marks for Socio-Economic criteria and higher qualification have been added, the petitioner would have been in the merit list of the selected candidates. The learned counsel further contended that in this regard legal notice dated 9.4.2021 (Annexure P-9) was served to GAURAV SOROT 2021.09.21 15:28 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

( 2 ) CWP-9747-2021 the respondent, but no response thereon has been received by the petitioner till date. He further submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if direction is issued to the competent authority to decide the aforesaid legal notice. Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Rohit Arya, DAG, Haryana, accepts notice on behalf of State of Haryana and he submitted that in case any such legal notice is pending, the same will be decided by the concerned authority in a time bound manner.

In view of above, without adverting to the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to look into the legal notice (Annexure P-9) and decide the same in accordance with law and in the light of the contentions raised above, preferable within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
