**** RAMESHWAR SINGH MALIK J. (ORAL) Feeling aggrieved against the alleged inaction on the part of respondent-Authorities, petitioner, by way of instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., has approached this Court seeking direction to respondent Nos.1 to 3 to protect his life and liberty as well as his family members at the hands of private respondent Nos.4 to 6.

Notice of motion was issued and pursuant thereto, status report was filed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that when the genuine grievance of the petitioner was not being redressed, he finally approached the Director General of Police-respondent No.2 by way of self contained representation dated 20.8.2014 (P.6), but the same is also pending decision. He further submits that the petitioner will be satisfied in case the respondent No.3 is directed to consider and decide his representation, within a reasonable time.

CRM-M-30540 of 2014 #2# Faced with the above, learned State counsel submits that he has got no objection to the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner. Having heard the learned counsel for the parties and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, lest it should prejudice the rights of either of the parties, the Commissioner of Police, Ludhianarespondent No.3 is directed to look into the matter, consider the grievance of the petitioner, including the threat perception, raised vide his representation dated 20.8.2014 (P.6), and decide the same, at an early date by passing an appropriate order thereon, strictly in accordance with law, but in any case within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

With the abovesaid observations made and directions issued, present petition stands disposed of.

A copy of this order be supplied to learned state counsel under the signature of Special Secretary attached to this Bench for onward transmission to the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana-respondent No.3 for compliance thereof.
