Through this second petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. prayer has been made for grant of regular bail to petitioner - Arshdeep Kaur - in a case arising from FIR No.203 dated 10.07.2019 registered under Section 22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 at Police Station Sector 39, Chandigarh.

According to the prosecution, on 10.07.2019 petitioner was apprehended with conscious possession of 50 injections (25 injections of Buprenorphine 2 ML each and 25 of Pheniramine Maleate 10 ML each), without any permit or licence, which fall under the category of "commercial quantity".

-2CRM-M-15938 of 2020 witnesses only two have been examined. Conclusion of trial may take a sufficient long time. No useful purpose would be served by detaining the petitioner in jail any more.

On the other hand, learned counsel for UT Chandigarh vehemently opposed the grant of regular bail to the petitioner. No new ground has been made out in this second petition, therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner. Dismissed.
