**** INDERJIT SINGH, J.(Oral) Petitioner Vipan Kumar alias Cheeku has preferred this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail to him in case FIR No. 66 dated 26.04.2015, registered under Section 13 of the Gambling Act, at Police Station Nehianwala, District Bathinda. Notice of motion.
On asking of the Court, Mr. Varun Sharma, AAG, Punjab, has accepted notice on behalf of the respondent-State. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the case file. As per learned counsel for the petitioner, petitioner absented from the Court proceedings on 10.05.2016. He further states that the absence of the petitioner from the Court is not intentional.
