Learned State counsel submits that private respondents in this case have joined the investigation and have been allowed anticipatory bail. The FIR was originally registered for offences punishable under Sections 341, 323, 148 and 149 IPC and on receipt of medical report the offence punishable under Section 326 IPC was also added. Investigation is in progress but has been held up as it is a cross-version case and the petitioner and all other accused named in the cross-version case have not joined the investigation so far. There is no lapse on the part of police to delay filing the challan.
Counsel for the petitioner has not appeared to rebut the submissions of learned State counsel.
In view of submission of learned State counsel, the instant petition is dismissed.
