(Oral) The petitioners have approached this Court seeking protection of their life and liberty on the premise that petitioner No.1 has performed marriage with petitioner No.2 against the wishes of her parents and other family members and the petitioners are apprehending threat to their life and liberty at their instance. Notice of motion.

Mr. Naveen Sheoran, DAG, Haryan accepts notice on behalf of the respondent - State.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the date of birth of petitioner No.1 is 02.07.1995 and has produced the photocopy of a matriculation certificate, which is taken on record. He has further submitted that a representation dated 15.08.2017 was made to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Hisar (Annexure P5) seeking necessary protection but no action has been taken so far in the matter.
