On 11.4.2023, following order was passed by this Court:- "Through instant petition under Section 438 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in FIR No. 233 dated 17.12.2022, under Sections 306 and 34 of IPC, registered at Police Station, Tibba, District Police Commissionerate Ludhiana.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that petitioner is sister-in-law (devrani) of the deceased. There are specific allegations only against husband of the deceased who, at present, is behind the bars. The petitioner

-2was having her separate kitchen from the deceased. There was no interference in family affairs of the deceased. The deceased got married 12 years back from the date of alleged incident and there was matrimonial discord between deceased and her husband and all other family members have been mechanically implicated.

Learned counsel for the complainant submits that there are videos disclosing that petitioner was actively involved in maltreatment and causing harassment to the deceased which led her to commit suicide.

Learned counsel during the course of hearing has handed over videos to learned State counsel.

Learned State counsel is directed to look into the videos and apprise the Court.

Status report by way of affidavit dated 27.4.2023 of Gurdev Singh, Assistant Commissioner of Police (East), Ludhiana, filed on behalf of respondent-State is taken on record. Registry is directed to tag the same at an appropriate place. 3.

As per State reply, the investigating officer has seen the video of deceased and in the video, deceased has specifically named the present petitioner. She has specifically stated that her husband is

-3staying with her sister-in-law and she cannot say all this and if she says something then they beat her and it is routine. She is seeking apology from her children and further asking them to get these sinners punished.

In view of specific allegations made in the video against the petitioner, this court does not find any ground to grant concession of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
