(ORAL) Prayer in this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for issuance to directions to respondents No. 1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners, who have entered into matrimony against the wishes of their parents. Petitioners apprehend threat at the hands of private respondents.
Learned counsel for the petitioners states that they have solemnized marriage against the wishes of their parents. The family members of petitioner No. 1 i.e. respondents No. 4 to 8 are not agreeing with the marriage being an inter-caste marriage and these respondents have extended threat to life and liberty of the petitioners. On notice of motion being issued, reply on behalf of respondent No. 1 has been filed through Sanjeev Kumar, H.P.S., Deputy Superintendent of Police (Head Quarter) Narnaul, District Mahendergarh. CRM-M-30634 of 2017 -2reply, the statements of Narottam, Shakuntala Devi, Sachin and Umed Singh i.e. respondents No. 4 to 7, respectively have been filed and as per their statements, the family members have no objection on the marriage of petitioner No. 1 and they shall not cause any harm to the them. In view of the reply which is accompanied with the statements of the parties, no further direction is required to be passed. The petition is accordingly disposed of in view of the reply submitted by official respondents, which is accompanied by statements of respondents No. 4 to 7.
However, in case the petitioners still feel threat to their life and liberty, they are at liberty to approach the concerned Superintendent of Police.
