Through the present petition filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. the petitioner seeks the grant of anticipatory bail in FIR No.119 dated 01.06.2020, registered under Section 61 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914 at Police Station Khui Khera, District Fazilka.

The case of the prosecution is that on receipt of a secret information recovery of 25 bottles of illicit liquor was effected from the petitioner's house.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case; no recovery has been effected from the petitioner; there is no other criminal case in which the petitioner is involved and that under the interim orders passed by this Court the petitioner has not only joined the investigation but has also fully cooperated with the investigating agency. -2CRM-M-16434 of 2020 (O&M) Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Mukhtiar Singh submits that there is no other criminal case in which the petitioner is involved; under the interim orders passed by this Court the petitioner has not only joined the investigation but has also fully co-operated with the investigating agency and that his custodial interrogation is no longer required by the State.

Keeping in view the totality of the above noticed facts especially the statement made by the learned State counsel that the petitioner has joined the investigation and his custodial interrogation is no longer required, the order of this Court dated 25.06.2020, granting adinterim anticipatory bail to the petitioner is made absolute.
