The petitioner has been in custody w.e.f. 18.7.2015 for having assaulted Geeta Rani, mother-in-law of complainant Baljit Kaur. The petitioner gave two dang blows on the left and right side of forehead of the injured and also gave an injury on the left eye, besides inflicting injuries on the wrist, left arm and left hand. The grievous injury attributed to the petitioner is on the wrist of Geeeta Rani. Injured Geeta Rani has been discharged from the hospital. Challan stands presented. Taking into consideration the period of detention suffered by the petitioner and other circumstances, the petition is allowed. The petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds/ surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial court subject to the condition that he will not indulge in the act of threatening the witnesses or tampering with the evidence. He will also not commit the similar offence, of which he is accused of, during pendency of the trial.
