Heard through video conferencing.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite having complied with the requirements of law in terms of Section 154 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973, no action has been taken by respondent no.2.

It has further been contended that the petitioner had sent an application/representation dated 20.02.2020 (Annexure P-2) through post vide receipt No.1236707 dated 20.02.2020 to respondent No.2 and vide receipt No.1236706 to respondent No.3, however, the said application/representation has also not been decided till date. Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Ms. Monika Jalota, DAG, Punjab,

YOGESH SHARMA 2020.06.22 17:32 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CRM-M-16021-2020 has joined the proceedings through video conferencing. Since advance copy of the petition had been supplied to learned State Counsel, she, upon instructions from ASI Joginder Singh, submits that there is a civil dispute as well as a dispute regarding bouncing of cheque between the parties and the matter is being investigated. Be that as it may, there is no reason for the application/representation dated 20.02.2020 (Annexure P-2) not to be decided by respondent no.2.

In view of the above, let the representation dated 20.02.2020 (Annexure P-2) submitted by the petitioner to respondent no.2 be considered and decided within a period of one month from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.

The present petition is, accordingly, disposed of. ( ALKA SARIN ) JUDGE 22.06.2020 Yogesh Sharma Whether speaking/reasoned Yes/ No Whether Reportable Yes/ No
