Short reply by way of affidavit of Assistant Commissioner of Police, West Amritsar City, and custody certificate of the petitioner, filed today in Court, are taken on record. 2.

On perusal of the reply, it is revealed that out of 59 prosecution witnesses, 45 witnesses have already been examined, and 08 witnesses have been given up by the prosecution agency being unnecessary, and 2 witnesses have died, and only 4 witnesses remained to be examined.

CRM-M-17320-2024 requests that direction may be passed upon the learned trial court concerned, to conclude the trial in a time bound manner. 4.

The learned trial court is directed to make all efforts to conclude the trial most expeditiously, preferably within 4 months from today, taking into consideration that the petitioner has suffered incarceration of about 8 years.
