(Oral) Prayer in this petition is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner, in a case arising out of FIR No.61 dated 26.05.2016, registered at Police Station Moonak, District Sangrur, who has been booked for having committed the offences punishable under Sections 354, 354E, 353, 186 and 506 IPC.
Learned State counsel has filed the affidavit of DSP, Sub Division, Moonak, District Sangrur to show that the petitioner is facing trial in number of cases as mentioned in paragraph No.2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the matter has been compromised with the victim in the present case. CRM-M-31579-2016 -2petitioner is in custody since 26.05.2016 and no useful purpose will be served to keep him in custody.
I have heard the learned counsel for the parties and with their able assistance gone through the material available on record. The petitioner was arrested on 26.05.2016. Since then, he is in judicial custody and no useful purpose would be served to further detain him in jail. The final conclusion of trial will take a long time. In view of above facts, the present petition is allowed. The petitioner is ordered to be released on regular bail on his furnishing adequate bail bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of learned trial Judge/Duty Magistrate, Sangrur.
