SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) Learned counsel for petitioners submits that petitioners have filed this petition seeking protection of their lives and liberty alleging that they are major and have married against the wishes of respondents No. 4 to 6, who are father and brothers of petitioner No. 1. Apprehending danger to their lives and liberty, petitioner No. 1 moved representation (Annexure P5) to Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar. He confines the relief claimed in this petition for direction to respondent No.2 to look into the representation of petitioners and take appropriate action in accordance with law. He further submits that Registry has raised objections regarding the document (Annexure P-3), which has been wrongly placed by his clerk and he be given permission to remove this document from the file.
In view of above submission of learned counsel for petitioners, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, to look into the representation (Annexure P-5) and take appropriate action in accordance with law, on receipt of copy of this order along with representation in his office. However, it is made clear that this order will have no effect on the validity of alleged marriage of the petitioners or on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against them.
