(ORAL) The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing the official respondents to take appropriate legal action against respondent No.8, who has illegally embezzled the grants issued by the Punjab Government/Central Government to the Gram Panchayat, Village Gulgarh, Tehsil Lopoke, Block Harsha Chhina, District Amritsar in the year 2019-2020 and 2021.

A further prayer has been made for directing the official respondents to decide the representation dated 01.05.2024 (Annexure P-5) filed by the petitioner.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner prays that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant writ.

In view of the above, the present writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
