Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that FIR No.199 dated 16.04.2018 was registered at Police Station Shahbad, District Kurukshetra for offences punishable under Sections 120-B, 148, 302, 307, 323, 324, 447, 506, 511 read with Section 149 of Indian Penal Code and 25, 27 of Arms Act. The petitioners are injured/eyewitnesses of the occurrence and the police till date has not even recorded their statements. A representation to this effect was also made to respondent No.3Superintendent of Police, Kurukshetra, copy of which has been placed on file as Annexure P-1. He confines his submission only for direction to respondent No.3 to look into the representation and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

However, it is made clear that the above order shall not be taken as direction to the investigating officer, who will proceed with the investigation in a legal, independent and fair manner without being influenced by observations in this order.
